We love being part of the Innisfail Harvest Festival, bringing lively tunes and festive energy to one of the region’s most colourful community celebrations. It’s an event that captures the heart of Innisfail – vibrant, diverse, and full of local pride – and we’re thrilled to provide the soundtrack to such an iconic occasion.
As the streets come alive with floats, costumes, and the smiles of locals and visitors alike, the band’s upbeat rhythms and familiar melodies help set the tone for a day of joy and connection. Whether we’re marching down Edith Street or performing from the sidelines, there’s nothing quite like seeing people dance, wave, and cheer along to the music.
The Harvest Festival is more than a parade – it’s a celebration of our community’s agricultural roots, multicultural spirit, and enduring sense of fun. For the band, it’s a chance to step out of the rehearsal room and into the heart of the town we love, sharing the joy of live music with people of all ages.
We’re proud to be part of the festival each year and to contribute to the legacy of an event that means so much to Innisfail. If you see us in the parade, give us a wave – and maybe even a dance!
Each year, the Innisfail Community Band proudly takes the stage at the Shire Hall to celebrate Australia Day, filling the historic venue with the vibrant sounds of brass, woodwind, and percussion. It’s one of our favourite annual performances – not just because of the music, but because of the meaning behind it.
Australia Day is a time to reflect on who we are as a nation – our history, our diversity, and our shared future. For the band, it’s an opportunity to connect with our community through a musical celebration of Australian spirit. From classic Aussie anthems to contemporary favourites, we put together a program that’s designed to make toes tap and hearts swell with pride.
The Shire Hall comes alive with families, friends, and neighbours, all coming together to celebrate what it means to call Australia home. We’re honoured to be part of that experience, providing a soundtrack to the awards presentations, citizenship ceremonies, and community festivities that mark the day.
It’s more than a performance – it’s a celebration of unity. And every year, we’re reminded just how powerful music can be in bringing people together.
Whether it’s your first time attending or you’re a regular in the audience, we look forward to seeing you at the next Australia Day concert – and sharing the music that makes this day so special.
For decades, the Innisfail Community Band has brought people together through the shared joy of music, performing everything from classic marches to festive holiday favourites. But among the most meaningful moments on our calendar each year is ANZAC Day — a day of remembrance, reflection, and deep respect.
Each year, members of the Innisfail Community Band proudly step out into the early morning light, instruments in hand, to lead the ANZAC Day march through our town. The sound of drums and brass echoing down the streets is more than music – it’s a tribute. Our repertoire on the day includes traditional marches and solemn pieces chosen carefully to honour the legacy of our servicemen and women, both past and present.
As we lead the procession toward the cenotaph, we’re not just keeping time – we’re helping to carry the weight of history and memory. It’s a privilege to be part of a tradition that means so much to our community. Many of our band members have marched for years – some for decades – and still feel the same pride every time that first note rings out in the dawn.
The ANZAC Day service reminds us why we play. It’s about more than performance – it’s about connection, contribution, and remembrance. From the stirring “Abide With Me” to the last notes of “The Last Post,” the music tells a story words often can’t.
We thank our community for joining us each year to commemorate this important day, and we thank our band members for giving their time, talent, and hearts to help make it memorable.
Lest we forget.
