Art Deco Festival – 2025

IInnisfail hosts the Art Deco Festival each year, a multi-day celebration held in March that highlights the town’s beautiful traditional architecture. Events include the markets at ANZAC Park, the Great Gatsby Birthday Picnic, Shire Hall tours, history walks, High Tea, and many more activities — all themed around the Art Deco era of the 1920s and 1930s.

The band proudly supported the festival with performances featuring Dixieland-style music, with several members dressing in period attire. We were especially humbled to perform in the town’s very own Art Deco centrepiece, the historic Shire Hall.

Downtown Christmas party

The annual Christmas party saw hundreds of locals gather in the centre of town to browse stalls, enjoy food from local vendors, and watch the always popular turning on of the Christmas lights.

Kicking off the afternoon, the Innisfail Community Band performed on the CaneCutter Court stage, playing a range of Christmas carols while dressed in festive attire. Locals sang along to their favourite pieces, creating a warm community atmosphere and setting the tone for a great evening of entertainment.

Suburban Disturbances followed with a selection of crowd-pleasing covers. Both backpackers and locals joined in for their big finale of 500 Miles. The band is quickly developing a genuine following – impressive considering this was only their second public performance.
