Australia Day at the Shire Hall
Each year, the Innisfail Community Band proudly takes the stage at the Shire Hall to celebrate Australia Day, filling the historic venue with the vibrant sounds of brass, woodwind, and percussion. It’s one of our favourite annual performances – not just because of the music, but because of the meaning behind it.
Australia Day is a time to reflect on who we are as a nation – our history, our diversity, and our shared future. For the band, it’s an opportunity to connect with our community through a musical celebration of Australian spirit. From classic Aussie anthems to contemporary favourites, we put together a program that’s designed to make toes tap and hearts swell with pride.
The Shire Hall comes alive with families, friends, and neighbours, all coming together to celebrate what it means to call Australia home. We’re honoured to be part of that experience, providing a soundtrack to the awards presentations, citizenship ceremonies, and community festivities that mark the day.
It’s more than a performance – it’s a celebration of unity. And every year, we’re reminded just how powerful music can be in bringing people together.
Whether it’s your first time attending or you’re a regular in the audience, we look forward to seeing you at the next Australia Day concert – and sharing the music that makes this day so special.
