Musician wins Australia Day Award – 2026

Congratulations to our very own Tamara Gillard, recipient of a 2026 Australia Day Achievement Award. This award recognises her outstanding contribution to the arts and to young people in our region.

Tamara is not only an accomplished musician, but also deeply committed to encouraging others—particularly young people—to develop their musical skills. She is a tireless contributor, serving on both the Innisfail Young Performers and Community Band committees, as well as the school P&C.

Her work on the Youth Advisory Committee also contributed to the establishment of a university sub-campus in Innisfail.
